It's a yell-y, 2 chord diatribe. Compare it to "Clampdown" or 'Death or Glory," and the imagery and storytelling in those songs. Admittedly, the album suffers an embarrassment of riches.

Clampdown and Guns of Brixton are two of my favorite songs they do.

I am a big cash money/juvi fan generally. Not sure about that song tho even tho it was probably his/that group's greatest hit. Idk if bling bling surpassed it however.

I gotta admit, as much as I love the Clash, I really don't like RTC.

But it also doesn't belong in a "most over rated song" thread.

Zeppelin has some clunkers- especially the lyrics- but Kashmir and Trampled Underfoot are both better than anything Skynyrd ever did.

There's Zeppelin songs that absolutely are no good. You can strike the blues songs from Zeppelin I, even the studio version of Dazed and Confused. Zeppelin II is not great, except for WLL, Thank You and Heartbreaker, which are ok. The Crunge sucks and so do half the songs on Physical Graffiti (Custard Pie, Black Country Woman, Night Flight, Sick Again, Boogie with Stu, etc.). I hate the Presence and In Through the Out Door Albums. I'm not even a fan of Black Dog, which is completely overrated and has awful mixing.

But to say that "Sweet Home Alabama" is better than any Zeppelin song is just not a true statement. It's a repetitive song ad nauseum, made even more so from its overplay on the radio. You cannot turn on the radio and not hear "Sweet Home Alabama" on some rock station. It's a song with no taste and bad, uninventive guitar.

For best LC track it's either "The Card Cheat," "Lost in the Supermarket," or "Clampdown." I know "The Guns of Brixton" is kind of a filler but I like it. I think I like more songs off Sandinista!, actually.
