Any ideas? Looking for something for my daughter. Don't think she wants my 500lb amp and speaker setup from college. In the future when CDs are cool again, how will the hipsters of the day do it?

I have a huge pile of jazz & classical CDs my daughter would like to listen to. how do I make that work? she typically falls asleep listening to music so earbuds not an option. She's not an audiophile. I don't want to spend $1000 on a Hi-Fi.

Rip them to the computer. Upload them to an iPod or similar mp3 device.

It's all about your compression rate.

I have a 132gb iPhone with approximately 10,000 songs on it currently. I still have 50-60 free gb of space.

HM,
I have a BLURAY player hooked up to my TV AND a regular old fashion (DVD not CD) player hooked directly to my soundbar. You can get a cheap cd player and soundbar for under 70 bucks I bet.

Sorry,I have a DVD player that plays CD's. It cost under 30 bucks.
The soundbar (or any type of cheap speaker) can go around 40-50 bucks.

Can't you just buy a little shelf system that comes with a CD player, a tuner/receiver and a couple of small speakers?
They were really popular when I went to college 20 years ago and I am sure they are even smaller and sound much
better these days. I feel your pain about the CDs. I have hundreds of them and don't have them downloaded at all.
My wife's brand new car didn't even come with a CD player in it.

Wow,I read that was happening with new cars. That's bs!

I find myself ordering music I already have digitally because I don't feel like digging through my box of CD's and loading it.

is that blue tooth Jimmy? or wired? I don't think they even make wired stuff anymore.
------------------------

T-Bone/ DEP: I have continued to buy "boom boxes" but they all break after a year or so. Between my 2 kids we must have gone through 10 of them over the past 8-10 years. Stuff like this, they don't even make them anymore. Only crazy brand names like Jonkyo or Haji.

here you go!

Just double check the DVD has RCA output jacks. The Jensen soundbar DOES have RCA jacks.
