I was very disappointed upon my first listen. I was all "this is it...really?!?"

It is an amazing album after several more listens. Not sure what happened. I just started noticing things in the songs and said "that's pretty neat" until I realized I was saying it every 10 seconds.

The critics weren't throwing as many bouquets this time around but he has a number of good one liners and I have enjoyed it for the most part.
Probably listened to it ten times while I was working. Never listened to it exclusively. First set of lyrics that really grabbed my attention:

Not bad for a race of demented monkeys

First few songs I have heard off it sound pretty good, the new fleet foxes stuff

Pure comedys' first few tracks up until "leaving la" are great and then the album lulls, maybe that's why putting a 12 minute song in the middle of the album isn't a good idea. Few ok songs on the second half of it, average overall.
Not as good as I love you, honeybear or fear fun.

I'm into my third listen. You did good work.

Sounds like B Sides or stuff they couldn't fit on Pure Comedy. No wonder there was such a quick turnaround.
