Tesla @ Pabst Theater in MKE. Great time.
Metallica at Soldier Field. I'm only going because they're actually doing a real tour...themselves. Haven't seen them since '88.

If I can get tickets for Tool, I will go.

Simon Phillips masterclass at Space in Evanston on Thursday. Neil Peart is the reason I play the drums, but Simon is my guy.

Monster drummer, playing a monster kit that can do it all. Incredibly inventive player that never loses sight of the groove. I don't think there is anyone out there w/ sweeter sounding toms. His tone is just phenomenal.

Was a badass at open handed drumming long before Carter Beauford got on the scene. Enjoy, wish I had known sooner or would have made plans to go. I saw him fill in Toto after Pocaro died.

Saw Ween last week at the Brawlroom, am strongly considering going to Milwaukee this summer to see Primus. Does seeing American English count? Love their show.

Hazardous Youth 2017 may actually happen. We still sound like we're falling up the stairs sometimes but it's definitely tightening up even though I missed a line in the verse:

While I haven't yet dived into AAL catalog, I do know that Abasi and Reyes are amazing players, and this should be a great show...

It was about 15 drumming nerds sitting right behind his kit. Spent some time on his signature snare facing us, going over sticking ideas. Covered composition, tuning, miking and engineering ideas from behind the kit. Emphasized learning patterns left and right handed, experimentation, dynamics and having a crescendo feel to his fills.

Keeps/plays a bubinga kit in Chicago, but much prefers his maple.

Incredibly humble, incredibly engaging and a true gentleman.

We're here tonight after a tasty dinner at Italian Village.

Wasn't sure where to post this...here or the humble brag thread.
