a tribute seems to be done exactly the way the original was. a cover is a rendition of the song to make it the cover artist's version.

Agree with a lot of what has been said especially any cover by Disturbed.

I will add, and while it's not a great song to begin with, Rascal Flats version of Life is a Highway might be one of the worst things ever. But then again, anything by the Rascal Flats is complete butt.

:oops: I actually like that bad Harvey Danger cover of "Save it for Later." I attribute that to the fact that "Save it for Later" is such a good song more than anything else.

Punk bands do some of the best covers. There are few punk covers that are actually better than the original song - Me First and the Gimme Gimme's cover of Danny's Song or Slick Shoes cover of Candy.

While I'd love to join JORR in bagging on the wastes of talent that are Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart.....Shirtless Driver WINS.
