I can't believe I'm stooping to this level but I've exhausted all searches possible. Youtube history, googling, Soundhound and Shazam have not helped.

I don't even think this is a great song, but it is firmly stuck in my head and I can't think of the title or the band.

It's a hipster folk band, much like Mumford & Sons. The song has something to do with coming or going home. And when "home" is sung in the song, it's drawn out through the chorus.

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes. Awful.

I had to research if that was a real answer.

Anyway, ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHEOF_rcND8 ... there are worse songs out there ... then again, there is a shit ton better too.

I'd never heard it outside of whatever commercial it was in however long ago.

DW had this on CD. We listened to the whole album on our way to a Sox game. I'm amazed Darko didn't chuck the disc out the window. This song is ok. The rest of the album was awful.

It's not those. Sadly I'm all too familiar with those ones.

It has the line "I'm going hooooooome", drawn out. It could be "coming" home...I think it's older than those songs too but I've recently heard it at that Red Arrow Tap Room because they play a lot of music like that.

You don't mean that Ozzy song, do you?

Franky, I'm with ya, even though this probably exists outside my range of knowledge (too close to modern possibly).

I sincerely hope it isn't the song in the credits for America's Test Kitchen, which (thanks a lot) I now have stuck in my head along with one of the earlier songs linked in this thread. :-x

I owe you for this

That was my thought as well.

Followed up by how W_Z couldn't find a song that had 29MM views.

Fitting that I lose to Dr. Ken and he's the one who finds the song.

The tear in my eye is from the pain of my ears bleeding.

I know you found the song you were looking for but at this point in the thread, given you thought it was a bit older, I was worried it was Reunion by Collective Soul and thought we weren't going to be able to be friends anymore because you hated one of my favorite songs.

Ha, that happened to me before a few years ago, drove me nuts. Finally caught my white shark the other day.

The first thing that came to mind re: your one was Mark Sandman - I Wanna Go Home
