Listened again tonight for first time in ten years. Best live album ever. No doubt about it.

Geils was the best live band in concert of all time but the best live album is Waiting for Columbus by Little Feat.

Great album. That version of Whammer Jammer is gold.

Color me surprised that Scoots doesn't rate Daft Punk's "Alive 2007"

The Who were the greatest live band ever.

Live At Leeds and Waiting For Columbus are the 2 greatest live albums.

Live At Leeds is an awesome record. It was a big influence on every band I've ever been in.

But I'd argue that Ya-Yas is the hands down the greatest live record ever. Also, the Fillmore albums from the Allmans and Humble Pie have to be in the conversation.

I was just listening to that husband and wife who do the GPS show on Sirius Deep Tracks and they were covering Boston. The dude was jizzing all over the J. Geils Band. He called Peter Wolf the best frontman ever and said J. Geils was the best rock band ever. It was a bit much.

Ya-Ya's and Allman Brothers Fillmore East were outstanding. Skynyrd's One More From the Road was well done.
