Any song by Guns N Roses except Paradise City, for no rational reason.

They look like The Darlings from Andy Griffith.

Come On Eileen is a classic. A classic.

People will still be singing along to that song in 200 years.

Don't confuse popularity with quality...see Swift, Taylor...

"Him" by Rupert Holmes. XM has been playing it lately, and it is an automatic PTFB.

I'm always amused when people get artists wrongly attributed to songs...I remember a few years back, my sister had Escape in her iTunes, but the artist listed was Jimmy Buffett...wasn't a cover. She got it in a file share from one of her friends, and as I looked at the list she got, most of the songs were wrong...

Yeah, I thought "Carry On Wayward Son" was by Boston all through the summer of 2001. Damn you, Aimster!

That's not even the worst of the examples...that one to me would be like attributing "Oh, Sherry" to Journey instead of Steve Perry

CH is on the right path with where my thoughts are going. I'm trying to remember some of the rest of the list...

Hmm, I had "Hang On Sloopy" by the Yardbirds and in the other direction, right artist wrong name, I also had "Higher" by Van Halen.

Exile on Main Street and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea are at the top of the list but The Wall is pretty tough to listen to once you're out of high school. But hey, we'll always have "Run Like Hell" and "Hey You."

Those two songs and the guitar solo in Comfortably Numb. Hey You is the best song on the album.

There are two guitar solos in Comfortably Numb, and in my opinion the first one is far superior to the outro solo.

I feel like "For Your Love" by The Byrds was one of them.

Now, completely incorrect song titles is a whole different thing. I'm assuming Dreams is the Van Halen song in question?

I'm a fan of Floyd and the Stones, but The Wall and Exile are indeed overrated (save for one or two songs on each).

The funny thing about Exile is that it has easily my 3 of my favorite Stones songs (Rocks Off, Happy, Sweet Virginia), but it's almost thoroughly awful beyond that...maybe add in Tumbling Dice and Shine a Light, and the rest is just garbage. Sticky Fingers is probably their best, IMO.

Meddle and DSOTM are their best albums.

agreed on the top. Pretty much any double albumn (Beatles White Albumn for example) is filled with filler.

anything with Mick Jagger (save like 3 songs, Gimmie Shelter, Honkey Tonk Woman, Let it Bleed) and anything sung by Bob Dylan. Keith Richards was a way better vocalist than Jagger.

I can certainly see the case for The Wall being overrated. However, I can say that without a doubt, The Wall as a concert performed by Roger Waters a few years back was the most ambitious, elaborate, and impressive concert I've ever witnessed.

I'm seeing Waters tonight in concert at the UC...I hope he keeps his political rantings to a minimum.
