It's good. I'll probably like it more after I listen to it all the way though a few more times.

This line from the review on Pitchfork was funny: "The contrast between the two versions of himself, the staid crooner and the wild-eyed rocker, felt like the band’s ace in the hole: It meant they could play stadiums and soundtrack scenes of snow falling in sedate indie films about unhappy New England families."

The single is annoying. Not a fan.

The single was good, heard it too much.

Damn, Pitchfork gave it an 8.0. Considering Pitchfork rates established bands that might play their festival on an 8.0-9.0 scale, that's dire.

I like it. It's on par with their other stuff IMO. A little different but not that much. One particular track I like is Guilty Party.

Haven't the National been boring since The Boxer? I am not saying it has been bad but it's been all awash of the same sound.

Yeah, it's all just Matt Berninger murmuring about spiders and the moon over too much drumming.

I think this is the best since Boxer. Not like I would BUY it but would listen a few times on Napster before I forget about it.

P.S. - who gives a shit about P4K reviews anymore anyway?
The same guy that gave SWB an 8.0 gave the new Foo Fighters a 6.5. Edited to add: Jayson Greene also just gave the new Killers record a 6.3 today.
P4K also gave Lil' Peep a 7.3.

Lil' Fuckin' Peep....a 7.3?????
 :puker: :pukel:
