Wu-Tang at the Metro in 2003, Killah Priest and U-God only members that showed, played 30 second snippets of like 25 songs, told us to come back tomorrow when the gza will be there too, and left the stage, maybe on stage for 30 minutes.

Bob Dylan- saw him when he headlined the americanarama festival a few years back. Richard Thompson, My Morning Jacket, and Wilco all great, then Dylan comes out and mumbles his way thru about 4 songs, left halfway thru his set.

Run The Jewels- saw them earlier this year, terrible sound, shitty crowd (which didn’t totally surprise me, rtj attract the the worst kind of white 20 something guys). El-p and Killer Mike sounded like they were gasping for air the entire set.

The Willie Nelson/Dylan ballpark tour

Nelson raced through his songs like he couldn't wait to get off stage and Dylan sounded horrible.

I hope you at least closed the deal at the end of the night.

Early 90s: Stevie Nicks at Poplar Creek. Went with three females, all of whom I was ready to bang, so...

Boring, boring, boring. At the end of nearly each song, Stevie would casually walk offstage, change to a different colored shawl, then stroll back onstage for the next song; rinse and repeat. You would think the cocaine enemas would have upped the energy, but they didn't. And I didn't close the deal, either :(

Natalie Merchant at the Tweeter World whatever, mid-2000s. She opened for Chris Isaak (who fucking killed), and had zero stage presence or chemistry with her band. Bad music, and to this day I can't understand which managerial genius came up with that pairing.

Yep. That's them. I believe I win. Like 15 people piled into an 500 person ballroom. MTV sponsored them iirc. Man that was painful.

Sounds crazy to the audiophiles, but Eric Johnson.

Most boring shit I have ever seen - I almost fell asleep during the show numerous times.

. . . I was 14, though.

Peter Paul and Mary in 1990 at the Auditorium.

It was an afternoon benefit concert for some UIC student group my then gf was running. Surrounded by eager folks that all looked like bran flakes. Had to go backstage with the gf to meet the group. Peter greeted me with a kiss on the cheek. My friend still laughs at the repulsive look on my face and my irritation at not being able to find anything alcoholic thereafter.

They played all their "standards", but all I had any interest in was "Puff the Magic Dragon". Fortunately the gf was extra appreciative of my enduring fake smile and act of innocence

I like to think I'm pretty well schooled in the shit-rock of the 80's, but this band name didn't ring a bell.
I watched the unintentionally hilarious video, but it still sounds completely unfamiliar to me.
Is it possible that I've never before in my life, heard of these guys or this song?
Thanks Beni Hanna, I guess.......

I know, I think it's an elaborate prank.

Most likely y a regional treasure, from the youtube comments, probably in the Southeast.

Note there is music being created outside the Midwest. It just wasn't that good. Used to follow band called the Muttz which were pretty ok.

Ray Charles and Gladys Knight performed at a corporate event at the old Boston Garden back around 1994. Gladys was great, Ray couldn't have been a more disinterested fuck.

The entire 1996 Q101 Jamboree at the World was a disaster.
Rain, shitty sound everywhere, and out of the 25K people there, I run into my girlfriend of 4 years who had broken up with me earlier that month. She wouldn't even talk to me. I got shitfaced and crybaby-ish and it was an all around awful day.

This chick that opened for Avey Tare at hideout on Friday might have been one of the worst I've ever seen . I guess it was her first live performance ever so there's that
She was using a lot of cassettes for some reason . And for one song she played a violin but I think she was fake playing it

I can't think of one where the music was just awful, but the worst experience happened a few years ago. I got an e-mail from the Pabst group
that runs all of the bigger music events in Milwaukee. They offered me two free tickets to Amos Lee. I figured why not, nothing to lose there.
We got there and the show was at the Riverside. I am guessing they were giving tickets out to people who were regular customers to try to fill
the place up. The music wasn't bad, although it was some newer stuff of his that I wasn't familiar with. The worst part of the show is that we
were sitting in the upper tank, and the way the lighting was set up it was shining right in our eyes. We couldn't get away from it and we both
were getting a headache from it and very distracting. We walked out after 30 minutes or so.

Was that the one with Bush & Sheryl Crow?

I've lucked out the few I've gone to and had at least 7 of them there. Something like that should be a refund. That's ridiculous.
