Fugazi was a different animal, though. In addition to musically kicking ass....they revolutionized how bands could independently operate and manage their business affairs. That alone puts them in the HoF.

Injustices? Iron Maiden and Motley Crue have each sold over 100 million records. The line for bands that are overdue to get in starts behind them.

Iron Maiden's record sales numbers are disputed since they are not backed by the required amount of certified sales. Someone may claim they've sold that many...but there isn't any evidence for it.

if we're going by actual record sales, Iron Maiden is looking at no fewer than 100 artists ahead in line.

In case you need a translator....that's a metric shit ton of records. They were the biggest force from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, which influenced Metallica and an entire genre of music. They still fill up amphitheaters across the fucking globe as Senior Citizens.
