Too many commercials. Needs to stop to preserve whatever musical legacy he wants.

It sure killed Sinatra’s legacy. Next thing you know we’ll be hearing Beatles and Led Zeppelin in commercials.

Yes, I'm sure doing some commercials will make everyone forget he's the greatest American songwriter of the past century.

Bob called Smoky Robinson the greatest poet of our generation.

Yeah...i know. He's a big Bruce guy too...as is my wife.

I like Ike 100x more than I like Bob and Bruce.

If you didn’t see him before 1980 I’d agree he probably wasn’t much to watch or listen to. Definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but to say he sucks is a bit harsh. I’ve noticed all the commercials using his old stuff. Hey good for him cashing in on his back catalog.

I saw him in 1998 when he toured with Paul Simon. There was a night and day difference between Simon's performance and Dylan's performance. I think he's either bored with touring or just likes to mess with people's expectations.

There are just voices that grate on me.

Bruce
Bob
Phil Collins
Billy Corgan
Peter Gabriel
Rod Stewart (80s to present)

Then there are similar voices that I love

Ike
Bowie
Iggy
Daltrey
Petty

Go figure

I saw him with Petty at Alpine. Unlistenable.

He's famous for pissing off his fan base by sucking live. When he went electric, folkie types were in revolt.

Great poet

Still sucks

I'm in general agreement. I have a problem with singers who can't carry a tune. I also overlook Tom Petty. Probably for the same reasons people overlook Dylan. The songwriting. If the songwriting doesn't cut the muster with me, the voice makes it 10 times worse. That's why I can say with a straight face I despise Springsteen and Dylan.

I'd rather be stuck in an elevator with the late Glenn Frey than an alive Dylan, but that's just me.

I wouldn’t pay to see him again. He was still pretty good in the late 70s but trash after that. I saw him in Memphis in early 96 maybe and again at the Aragon about 10 years ago. Mostly jibberish... reworking songs however he pleased at the time. I did get to hear him sing a rather straight up version of Man In Me in Chicago which is a bit of a rarity So that was worth the price of admission to me being a Big Lebowski fan. His new album is ok And has some nice tracks on it but his voice is trashed. He should just hang it up. A lot of great stuff in the 60s and 70s to enjoy. Even the early to mid 90s weren’t bad album wise.
