Paul's 3rd completely solo album (I in 1970, II in 1980) and it's actually pretty good--especially the last song, which should have been more representative than some of the filler in the middle ("Deep Deep Feeling"). But for a guy who's 78, this is impressive, especially since he produced it himself, and performed all the instruments. while it's mostly acoustic, it has some pretty catchy popish songs too. i recommend.  out of

Sir Paul is impressive, but it seems like his voice, at least in live settings, quit on him about five years ago. I've also heard that he supposedly is a poor judge of his own work, and often cuts his best tracks in favor of lesser ones. |
