"The Rising" can nearly make me cry every time, but Springsteen ruined it with that "la-la-la" post-chorus. I don't know what he should have done instead, but it saps the emotion from the song to take it into a stadium sing-a-long. It's just not appropriate to the subject material and the rest of the song.

Goldfinger doesn't make bad songs. Just pretend you can't understand the lyrics and the music is usually good. Some people say you are passing over to the other side while walking down a tunnel towards a white glowing lights, others argue that you hear the opening riff to Superman while dropping in on a vert pipe.
