I had totally forgotten about this band since listening to "King in Yellow" years ago, thinking they still somewhat had it. It was a decent listen, definitely trying to recapture those classic albums from their prime. They had an album come after that I never listened to.

But this one is excellent. Very crisp at 38 minutes, 13 tracks, and their audacious humor is back in full swing. they don't waste any time digging right in with the 1st track "grandpa's not a racist (he just voted for one)". before you roll your eyes thinking this is a shitlib album because clearly that's a knock on trump humpers...these guys were mocking hippies throughout most of their career. they also take aim at the NY art scene (as per usual with them) at the end of the album.

their most classic sounding song on the record is easily "how do you even exist".

a real treat if you're a fan.

:D :D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D
