LOVE their first three albums.

Have you heard anything after Furr?

I have not, but plan to after revisiting this one.

I guess I overstepped there. I assumed Furr was the first album but it is one of three albums they did while signed with Sub Pop Records.
These are the ones I can vouch for and own. The other two, Destroyer Of The Void and American Goldwing are very good. I haven't
really dug the last couple discs they put out as much.

"redneck gangster" sounds far worse than "post-hardcore"

I saw Grandaddy open for Elliott Smith at some theatre in Seattle many years ago. They were awesome.

Bon Iver debuted their upcoming album live in chronological order last week at their festival.
It helps if you're already predisposed to like the band, but this is just amazing.

I've listened to it about 8 times and it is very enjoyable. I'm interested to hear what the album is like. I fear I am going to like this live
version a lot more than the produced version but we shall see.

newish, low-fi tunes out of Bloomington, Indiana.

Course, some of their tunes are about basketball. I think the project has evolved into an actual band, Hoops:

awesome that you saw them. Empty Bottle's good for that, catching quality bands getting their start when you go to see someone else.

They released an EP on Fat Possum this week; that's how they came across my musical radar.

Sounds like it's mostly the one guy, Andrew Todd/Drew Auscherman.

His sound cloud is a good listen:

Hoops have tour dates coming up:

As usual Im late to the dance but I heard "Casual Party" by Band of Horses a few days ago and cant get it out of my head. Interesting video they put out to go along with the song too.

That song is definitely infectious. The Jason Lytle (Grandaddy) production there is obvious--and that's an asset in my view. Are you a Grandaddy fan, Rogue? I really like Sumday. "El Caminos in the West" is one of my favorites on that album.

My best friend is a huge Grandaddy fan. Saw them ( well, Jason Lytle anyway) open for Explosions in the Sky few years back. I haven't really delved into his stuff all that much but I liked what I heard at the concert for sure.

Kind of an amalgam of Stone Roses, MBV, Pumpkins, Posies, shoegaze.
I'm really digging it.

I'm glad you liked it. I probably listened to it 4 times yesterday, all because of a random sponsored post on FB.
I never click on that shit, but for some reason I clicked on the video link for Sweetest Blue and I loved it!

Thoughts on Gore. Not sure I like it. Title track is good just nothing has really grabbed me with the album.
