Honorable Mention: TV on the Radio Dear Science, Interpol Turn on the Bright Light, The Cure Disintegration, The Shins Chutes too Narrow

But if I had to pick 1 album it would be Summerteeth.

The answer to the question is "Dark Side Of the Moon".
Many of my other favorites already mentioned. (Puppets, Achtung Baby, Abbey Road).
Surprised, but love the fact that Gish and Breakfast in America mentioned. Sorry Doug, Siamese Dream is a great album, but Gish is on a whole other level of greatness.

A song that got lost in the shuffle is “Drown” off the Singles soundtrack. I’m assuming that they originally planned on including it on Siamese Dream. Now I believe it’s largely forgotten, but probably my favorite track from their 91-93 period. The Melancholy era stuff mostly bores me these days - lots of good songs, but nothing that hits anywhere near as hard as the layered guitars and drum work on the early stuff.
