What songs have the best start with One. Two, Three, Four??

I saw her standing there - The Beatles. This may be the most famous of them, so it shouldn't be punished for that. It just kicks the song off on a high tempo.

You get what you give - New Radicals. Ok this may have you scratching your head. But I've always liked this song from the 80's. The intro is a little slow and you don't find the one, two.. until 20 seconds into the song, but it still counts. I haven't done much research, but I'm assuming this was a one hit wonder.

Vertigo - U2. I'm taking liberties with "Four", as I think Catorce is not 4 (14 says Joe), and the fact that it's not English, but with Edge clicking the guitar over it, the song just lights up after the count.

I know you want me - Pitbull. I like a good dance track, and I enjoy this one, and it gives you both English and Spanish counts of one,two...

The Ocean - Led Zeppelin. I'm not making it easy. You have to turn up the volume to hear John Bonham say "We've done four already but now we're steady and then they went: One, two, three, four", and then the song blasts off from there.

Wooly Bully - Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs: Uno, Dos, One, Two, Tres Quatro!

Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) - The Offspring: Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco, cinco, seis!

Invisible Sun - The Police: One....Two....Three.....Four.....Five.....Six.....

Turn It On Again - Genesis: One, Two, Three, Four.

Not true.

As a drummer, in a band, I will agree that I start MOST songs 1, 2, 3, 4.

However, I would start a song in 3/4 (waltz) as 1, 2, 3; just to get the band more into a waltz feeling.

And I have seen Gordon Lightfoot in concert, start Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (which is in 6/8) buy counting off "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6".

Yeah right. John Lennon was a dirty hippie who hated America.
