Yes he couldn't make it to rehersals with Led Zeppelin because the Concorde couldn't get him their fast enough but Plant was out of tune, Page was all over the place and smashed, John Paul Jones was out in space and you could barely hear his bass...if you actually listen and watch, Collins seems to be the only one actually keeping time and getting in the groove.

To Review:

1.)Plant's singing/time left much to be desired,
2.)Page was a drunk mess, his guitar work was bad and the trademark solo was terrible.
3.)John Paul Jones wasn't even in the mix it seems and was pretty inaudible.

Plant should be ashamed at Zeps performance and that should be the reason for him wanting to have the footage sealed in the vault NOT Phil Collins because Phil, frontman seminal pop/prog rock group Genesis seemed to be the only one trying out there that day!

This is rather random.

Plant wasn't that bad. They were delayed about 2 or 3 hours, and Page was drinking to calm his nerves. During "Whole Lotta Love" his guitar is painfuly out of tune. Plus, Phil Collins sucked.

It was done at the right time, for all the right reasons, but thier reunions in the 80s sucked. If you want to see what a decade of hard drinking and heroin use can do to a legend, hop over on YouTube and search for "Jimmy Page Arms Concert." He's a drunken slop monster.

The best pat of that whole Live Aid thing is an interview after the fact. Jones and Page are giving short but honest answers, and Plant wants to do nothing but hog the mic. At one point he says, "Of course we are in the 80s, and I have my own career now." And Page just rolls his eyes. Classic

I thought this was about "In the Air Tonight" and making that guy in the first row go crazy about killing his girlfriend.
