That would be the first Royal Rumble I have ever seen other than the night after highlights. Alberto Del Rio's announcer and Orton were my favorite parts. Fucking Big Show   He is like a 35 year old shaq...large yet serves no purpose.....other than 2 eliminate 2 of my guys and then get eliminated.

lol... skysportsselect aired a still-image ad for the next PPV, no way out on feb 19th.... and go figure sheamus is in the ad.

why, if i didn't know any better i'd swear wrestling is rigged guys.... but maybe that was just an extremely lucky guess. i'll drop a screencap in a second.

Good for Sheamus, but that ppv suuuuucked.

Nice. I had 2 guys in the Final 4 who weren't even in the rumbel (adr & lcw).

Ricardo was probably the highlight of the night. Brodus #2, which you can get for free twice a week.

Raw tommrow was more hyped than this crap ass ppv. This was boder line tna quality out comes across the board. One title match had two guys whom couldnt go. The rumbel had 5 people whom had no business being in the ring. This is what happens when vince has no competiion, and your mania main event/storyline was booked a year out. FUCK YOU Vince

read my list too quick. the Santino speed walking spot was one of the other lone bright spots.

now on Raw tmrw we get Trips and the continuation of the Cena/Kane thing...already sucks

give jimmy wang yang the sin cara mask.

What a joke

So much for "The End of the World" from Jericho.
The number of "special entries" was awful. Why have all these guys on the roster if not to use them?
The entire Rumbel match lasted less than an hour.

I am Jack's bitter fucking disappointment.

It's so glaringly apparent that they need to do away with the brands. I'd say 90% of those guys from Smackdown that entered the Rumble were horrible. Go back to two shows with just one roster and get rid of a lot of the dead weight. That would solve one of the major problems with the WWE right now.

I will admit I popped for some of the special entries. Until I saw entry #24. I said 24?!? They have a ton of work to do. It was a spot fest. No real story at all. Horrible Royal Rumble. Except for Otunga.

I am seriously contemplating taking an extending hiatus from watching wrestling after this show. Absolutely no hope in sight.

after further review, I still think is a botched finish. I'm guessing Show was going to swing him to the other wall or something.

The other 2 proposed finishes were Ortman winning and the other was Cena winning and then having to decide between the title and the match with Rock.

Wasn't it an almost exact replica of the Samoa Joe-Brian Danielson cage match finish from ROH a few years ago?

PWInsider.com is reporting that the primary reason why WWE decided to go with Sheamus as the winner of the Royal Rumble last night is because most insiders were predicting that Chris Jericho would get the big win.

Furthermore, WWE had the announcers push the "swerve" with the line questioning which title Sheamus would choose to challenge for. Additionally, the line puts over the unpredictability of the match, and the shake-up of the WWE landscape.

It's being said that Sheamus has been getting a great reaction from crowds at recent live events, and that WWE officials are firmly behind him as a top babyface in the company.

I'm so tired of blaming the Internet for nonsensical booking strategies. You know why people were expecting Jericho to win? Because it made sense. You had him say the world was going to change. The world changes by him being eliminated by Sheamus? If the Internet predicted Austin to win in 98', would they switch it to Billy Gunn to "keep em' guessing?" Dumb.

Here you go, from Chicago Ridge 2006. Did you go? I'm actually kind of blown away by this knowledge Peeps.

impressive nonetheless. I can't even remember what the main event of the Dec PPV was, much less finishes.
