My son is starting to ask me to watch wrestling. I guess some kids at school and cousins talk about it. I haven't watched since the glory days of nWo and the attitude era. Is the current WWE ok for a six year old to watch?

Today's wrestling is more appropriate for six-year-olds than 1998 wrestling was for twelve-year-olds, I'll tell you that much.

Yea, it's fine. Today's WWE is rated PG.

Nothing really sexual and no more blood.

Yes it is very kid friendly.

My 6 year old watches Raw with me once in a while. He laughs when guys get kicked in the peepee.

I've gone back and watched old Raw clips from the Vince Russo years and couldn't believe some of what went to air. A lot of it wasn't even subversive or edgy so much as merely base.

Entrance themes have gone waaaaaay downhill since then, though. You used to have a range of good to bad to fun-bad to back beyond fun-bad so it's just bad bad, but they were all reliable leitmotifs.

Don't raise your son to be a pussy. He's six, you should have him watching the best of Stone Cold DVD. #GiveMeAHellYeah

Our 9 year old is also interested. Asking me a lot about John Cena but I wasn't watching then. I did tell him I had front row for Hulk Hogan and he was impressed. I just hope he doesn't find the Gawker article.

For current guys I like Rollins' and Balor's themes the best.

The worst is Ambrose. It's so weak and generic. He sucks anyways though.

Zayn's theme is bad too.

Oh, Owens' theme is good.

My all time favorite is probably The Rock's. Has a cool vibe to it and I love the guitar solo.

For past guys' entrances, Undertaker, Austin, Flair, and Savage are my favorites.

Current are Balor, Owens, Nakamura, and Bayley. Sasha Banks' entance is good too.

Agree with Ambrose. Hate Cesaro's entrance too.

You are such a mark.

Best entrances all time are the 'special' Undertakers ones, Sandman in ECW, and Owen Hart's final one.

I agree on Austin and Flair. I also used to love the Road Warriors entrance.

The Brood's entrance was a thing of beauty as was Goldberg's.

'Matt Facts' for Matt Hardy v2.0 were generally entertaining.

I think both the office and the production guys all shit the bed w/ Balor's entrance being shown on free TV ... they could've pieced together parts here and there from his NXT ones and then did the Sabu lights-out middle of the ring out of nowhere entrance instead leaving the real thing for Sunday ... plus in a bigger arena it felt 'smaller' ... the guys in the truck need to do a better job making it feel bigger. If they can't, I don't relish seeing Nakamura do his on the big stage. It's not like performance art is some outside concept for WWE ... they just ... eh ... be better is all.

Yeah, coming up on the Gangrelevator.

Goldberg's intro was best when Chris Jericho parodied it by getting lost in the bowels of the arena on the way, which itself was a parody of This Is Spinal Tap, which itself was a parody.
