media makes mayweather out to be a punk. this is the first time i'm really seeing him and in the interviews he is a true professional and very respectable. he earned my respect tonight. |

HawaiiYou wrote: Ali, Fraizer, Lewis, Foreman, Hearns, Hagler are all better than Mayweather / Marciano. But you got to give them credit for going undefeated a combined 99-0. Add Julio Cesar Chavez to that list |

This was the easiest strategy to formulate in the world. Mayweather did a good job of executing on it. Hawaii, what ended up happening with you and that special lady friend? |

Floyd's great. But he didn't do shit before Round 4. You can't say he won 9 of 10 rounds. |

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater wrote: Floyd's great. But he didn't do shit before Round 4. You can't say he won 9 of 10 rounds. Agreed -- that was his plan. Let Conor box himself out of the match by spending too much energy. Modified rope-a-dope. |

Regular Reader wrote: But Floyd would've gotten killed by a real boxer YES EXACTLY. That's the same thing they say about Marciano. Both these 2 undefeated guys had uncanny similar careers. Think if Marciano had to face a Ali or Frazier. Or Mayweather had to face Hearns or Hagler. They both would be beaten to a pulp vs those guys. |

But at 40 years old, he's lucky he didn't get knocked the fuck out. I've never seen him not be able to slip punches like tonight. |

what did the judges have? Its fun to speculate what would have happened if it went the full 12 and to the judges. |

I think that's a risk you take for 100M+... he had to know that McGregor is good enough to tag him a couple of times... just needs to have it be a couple and not twenty. That being said, my totally legal viewing of the fight was a little lagged in the first couple of rounds, so I can't really state how well/poorly he did. |

I still think whatever the judges had, if it went the full 12 whoever is the Don King of today would have schemed it a draw so they could have a rematch. |

His style was stupid ugly and unorthodox but I think it confused Floyd for 3 or 4 rounds. |

Tony Atlas on ESPN said it perfect - mayweather had to fight like Rocky Marciano tonight! PERFECT DESCRIPTION! |

I thought McGregor won first 2 and possibly 3rd then it was over. I think the weird angled punches Conor threw helped in the beginning. 2nd fight was great. |

I was a big Tyson fan in the late 80s. If he stayed with Cus' team and not been corrupted by Don King, he would have been 70-0. Poor Mike. At least he turned his life around and seems happy. But what could have been. Mike SHOULD HAVE gone down in history as the greatest ever. |

So Mayweather just admitted on live tv that he bet on his own fight. Is that legal? |
