Absolutely. It was so silly when the WWF added the "WOOOOO!" at the beginning because they thought it was necessary for the same Pavlovian response as "if you smell..." or the breaking glass. I mean, come on, it's Ric Flair, the music stands on its own here.

Speaking of perfect, I also loved Mr. Perfect's, but I was surprised when I learned it was a ripoff of the theme from Exodus. I thought only WCW did that, and Curt's not even Jewish.

Can't watch now ... short list:

Flair
Hogan (WWF)
Undertaker (I'll be kind enough to take both iterations)
Sandman (ECW)
RVD (ECW)
CM Punk (Cult of Personality)
Hogan (NWO)
Austin
Rock
HHH
Mr. McMahon
DX
Curt Henning (WCW ... Rap is Crap)
Storm/Credible (ECW)
Midnight Express
Sean Michaels (fun-bad)
Terry Funk ('Desperado')
Demon Finn Balor
The one time they had a live violinist for Nakamura
Val Venis

I'm sure there a several I'm missing and dozens of other good candidates.

Val Venis is far too subtle a name. They should have eliminated any possible subtext and called him Pal Penis.

Combining "vagina" and "penis" to get a homophone of "Venus" could be the cleverest thing Vince Russo ever did. But the theme was just a mix of Ricks Rude and Martel.

Now you've got me thinking what a "venis" would look like. Probably a Fleshlight.

The Val Venis gimmick ran its course for sure (they had him in the Right to Censor in between porn runs), but then they changed him into "Chief Morley," where his gimmick was being an evil...middle-management figure, I guess? One of the things that's interesting about the WWF is their (read: Vince's) warped perception of "corporate culture" which no doubt comes from being headquartered in a midrise in Fairfield County, where it's surely rampant. They're so obsessed with management figures and Business Buzzword Bingo, but never get it down quite right: think the insistence on calling the roster splits "brand extensions." If they never had a wrestler whose gimmick was an evil human resources representative, it's only because Vince had the idea and then forgot about it.
