WWE News: Raw TV preview - PPV fall-out, Triple H advertised, Lesnar to react to PPV loss, Cena still advertised, bonus match

Apr 30, 2012 - 10:09:15 AM

WWE Raw TV preview 4/30

Following the Extreme Rules PPV Sunday night in Chicago, WWE shifts to Dayton, Ohio for Monday's Raw TV taping that will likely feature big changes to the top of the Raw brand.

John Cena, who beat Brock Lesnar in the PPV main event, is advertised for the taping, but he confirmed at the end of the PPV that he will be taking a vacation. Meanwhile, Lesnar was added to advertising for the Raw taping late last week and is expected to be a big part of the show.

The other big item is the return of Triple H, who will be appearing on WWE TV for the first time in one month since losing to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28. During the PPV, heel authority figure John Laurinaitis suggested it will be Hunter, the fictional COO, returning to Raw to handle business with Laurinaitis.

Also in-play will be fall-out from WWE champion C.M. Punk retaining the WWE Title over Chris Jericho and how it affects the WWE Title picture going forward. The Divas division is also expected to be featured. Nikki Bella has a re-match clause following her title loss to a returning Layla at the PPV, and the Bellas's contracts reportedly expire Monday night.

-- Smackdown stars advertised for the taping include World Hvt. champion Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, new IC champion Cody Rhodes, Big Show, and #1 contender Alberto Del Rio.

-- The advertised bonus match for the live crowd in Dayton is John Cena & C.M. Punk vs. Chris Jericho & Kane.

Well I had wondered if that speech by Cena was a work or not; the opening of Raw tells me all I need to know.

Brock vs. Triple H next? I'd be up for that. I don't think they've actually had a program together. They had a triple threat match (included The Rock) but I can't remember these two feuding. Anyone?

So are they just pretending he didn't lose last night?

Well, that's one way to have Cena win but it still to work for Brock. Just pretend Brock won.

I love how they try to make this a serious segment and you got a guy wearing a "Little Jimmy Says" t-shirt making sure Triple H is ok.

I thought that was HHH saying "here we go" to Johnny Ace. As in "I warned you. Now we have a problem."

Could be ... I think one could slow burn it by having Triple H fuck with Lesnar by feeding him B+-listers, maybe even a 2-on-1 match in the mix ... ... maybe even have a proper Royal Rumble match with HHH choosing a team against Lesnar and his squad of turds ... could do it all along until next April and let that finally be the payoff.
