WWE Raw TV preview 5/7

WWE's transition from John Cena vs. The Rock to Cena vs. Brock Lesnar to Cena vs. heel authority figure John Laurinaitis over a one-month span continues Monday night on Raw leading to the Over the Limit PPV in two weeks.

No specific items are advertised for Raw. WWE is advertising follow-up on Laurinaitis's show-closing attack on Cena last week, which "re-injured" Cena's arm, and the latest "injury update" on Triple H following Lesnar's show-opening attack.

Neither Hunter nor Lesnar is advertised for the taping. WWE will likely keep Lesnar involved in storylines via "health updates" on Hunter and focus on how the fictional Board of Directors handles Lesnar's future in WWE. This will keep him involved in storylines while off television for a period.

WWE will also be focusing on the WWE Title picture, which is now C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan ahead of their PPV title match in two weeks. Chris Jericho is also expected to remain in the title picture.

In addition to D-Bryan, Smackdown stars advertised for the Raw taping include World Hvt. champion Sheamus, Randy Orton, IC champion Cody Rhodes, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, and Mark Henry.


-WWE released a poll Monday to name new WWE tag champions R-Truth & Kofi Kingston. The options included in the voting are: Air Truth, Ka-Boom, R-Boom, Truth in Paradise, and Air Jimmy. There is no option for None of the Above or a write-in vote. The poll is at WWE.com
