The whole value proposition with Purdy is he's outperforming his cheap rookie deal, so it allows SF to stock the roster with stars on both sides of the ball. Once he makes big money they'll have to function like KC does - lose the high priced stars (e.g. Tyreek Hill) and try to get by with retreads and rookies and maybe 1-2 stars you can still afford. They can do that because Mahomes is Mahomes. Is Purdy Mahomes? I don't think so.

Trade Purdy, keep the other stars, and try to find the next one.

As much as I didn't understand the Fields love, I don't understand the Purdy hate. No one shit on Mahomes for playing with HoF players to start his career. No one has criticized Sweaty Josh for not taking off until he got Diggs. Most top quarterbacks have elite talent around them.
