I'd love to have had the bears give a 5th for him, doubt they'd trade in the division.

He tore his achilles and then got benched for a journeyman Detroit didnt even attempt to retain this past year. He was a great prospect but a 5th is about right for the player he is now.

His one career highlight was the pick 6 off Justin Fields :(

Hasn't he already turned down roughly the same deal? He wants it all guaranteed.

I believe that it's less total and guaranteed money. Reports are that the old guarantee was only $133M :)

I dunno bout that, nobody outside Nas has Lamar on par with Hurts.

Not a free agent, but Allen Robinson given to the Steelers.

Rams retained 2/3 of his salary in exchange for swapping 7th round picks.

Apparently the steelers thought he'd fetch more than $5 as a FA?

Lions now have a huge hole at WR without a very good FA option available.

I just want to remind the class that it doesn’t matter if the Lions are good or not or his receivers are suspended. Jared Goff wins . Every night.

you'd think after the Matt Millen Experience, Lions owners would tell whoever is drafting something along lines of "Look, if any of you motherfuckers is dumb enough to even THINK about drafting a wide receiver in the 1st round, your ass will be lucky to get a job as video coordinator for the Calgary Stampeders after I'm done ripping you to the entire league...unless some WR is the 2nd coming of Megatron--AND THAT SHIT AIN'T HAPPENING--you draft defense, you draft any offensive position besides WR in the 1st round."

Nope, for some reason, guys get the Detroit job and immediately think "Hmm, I think we should trade up 20 spots in the 1st round to draft an injured WR project" who after catching one pass for the Lions gets his ass suspended.

To be fair, if you project his rushing and receiving stats out over a while season he would be the best player in NFL history.

And to top it off, they're going to announce they've signed the highest rated wheelchair manufacturer to make the stadium more accessible for no 1 WR OBJ. Things just looking up for Lamar.

Probably their only option at this point, he's soft, never going to win a SB.

I'm glad he got it as he has deserved it for how good he was up until this point but I would hate the fact that it's probably only about a 30% chance it's not a terrible contract with his injury history.

Fields will be asking for similar next year.

Sucks for Fields that his position is being severely devalued just around the time he'll be looking for new money.

The Giants stupdity never stops, 3rd highest ever for the position and his career high for sacks in a year is 7

Of all the things the Giants can legitimately be criticized about, you choose extending Dexter Lawrence?
