The Packers defense was too shitty to win a ring. All those trash defensive backs they accumulated did more to hold them back than the Jordan Love pick.

Yep. They're not scoring 10 with Higgins opposite of Adams. That's fine though, they said screw the rings and invested in Love to beat the 3-14 Bears in 2023. Makes sense.

This one we do know the answer. Your boy Gute consciously and deliberately took Higgins off the field that day. It was in his power to put Higgins on that field. According to FF Gute Instead chose to prioritize beating the 3-14 Bears in 2023. That's some sound decision making.

To take that next step, the Packers had to improve in a few areas. One of those was receiver. Davante Adams led the team with 83 receptions despite missing four games. Among receivers, Allen Lazard was a distant second with 35 catches.

With Green Bay on the clock in the 2020 NFL Draft, general manager Brian Gutekunst packaged his first- and fourth-round picks in a trade with the Miami Dolphins to move up four slots to No. 26.


Watching the draft, Tee Higgins thought the Packers had traded up for him.

“For sure. For sure I did,” Higgins told Adam Schein on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio on Friday at the Super Bowl Media Center in Phoenix.

Green Bay didn’t draft any receivers in 2020. It did draft one in 2021, a third-round pick used on undersized Amari Rodgers, who was such a bust that he didn’t even make it through his second season. Thus, when Gutekunst traded Adams this past offseason, there was no established, waiting-in-the-wings receiver to fill the No. 1 void. That was one reason why Green Bay plunged to 8-9 in 2022.

And as I have previously stated here more than a handful of times; the Bears failures and ineptitude has nothing to do with the Packers failing to capitalize on a HOF QB over the last decade plus. If anything, the Packers road to the playoffs has been made easier not only with their QB, but also that the Bears and Lions have largely been doormats over that time.

OK but don't go around coping with the fact that the Packers once again, almost by accident, may have for the third straight time the one thing the Bears cannot have and cannot stop pouring immense resources to fruitlessly search for.

Jordan Love, right now today looking out on the future, was a good pick. A vastly better pick than shit like Darnell Wright or certianly Justin Fields.
