Thought the Texans were all-in on Josh McCown being their next head coach. Setting Lovie up to fail for a few years and accrue draft talent and then fire the black coach when the roster's stacked with talent and hire McCown.

They appeared afraid of being judged for hiring the guy they loved. They waited for about 5 weeks to call Lovie and ask him if he was okay with taking millions for guaranteed failure. I wish I got those types of calls.

I’m assuming they want him to cobble together a group of investors and act as the public face of that group.

Given how desirable Denver has become, particularly for super wealthy CA tech people, I’d think they’re going to have an unreasonably large price tag.

I would agree.
Advertising of any kind is maxed out. TV and Broadcast rights seem to hit their max. Most teams have new stadiums in place. No idea how they'd find more wealth / equity from what's there.

Supposedly Allen has a net worth of $450M. So he's not exactly at Rein$dorf/Cohen/Cuban levels. But he seems to know how to run a business.
