Apparently John Fox is a special assistant on that staff.

One of the many actual coaches they passed over in favor of Saturday.

Bill Cowher torched this decision on the pre game show. It was great.

If Jeff Saturday is successful as an executive like head coach, it'll prove that paying dues is unnecessary.

I would say that is highly unlikely. But hey let's see what happens, it should be a good show

I agree. That was the purpose of the Cowher rant. He was trying to protect the coaching institution from drastic change.

Justin Cousins will probably be in the concussion protocol later this week.

He played 14 years in the league. That's relevant work experience in place of a degree. I wouldn't just hand it to the Lafleur's of the world because they have a well manicured beard.

So they pull Jeff Saturday off the street to be interim head coach?

Strange

Irsay back on his prescriptions again?

I see everybody shitting on this hire, the guy was a center for over a decade on some great teams with a great line. Football ain't brain surgery, I think he'll be just fine..learn on the job.. better than most of the bear coaches hired in the last 20 years..maybe all of them

I will go way out on a limb and say that this take is not going to age very well.

So far so good

Eastern teams dominating the league - 7/8 NFC and AFC East teams at or over 500. 8/8 if washington wins tonight.

McDaniels has found the scapegoat for his continued suckage as a head coach. Derek Carr will be inactive for the rest of the season and will probably be cut in the offseason.

I wonder if Devante will want out?

He would look great in a navy blue and orange 17 jersey.

McDaniels will cut and run back to New England to take over for Belichick after TB12 pulls rank with Kraft and gets Bill fired. They'll have Bill OBrien and McDaniels and what's Eric Mangini doing? Get all the Belichick-tree fail on one team.

Canada will be fired about 2 seasons late. Tomlin should have listened to Big Ben.

Tb12 is washed up, you can't ask for much more than Evans, Godwin and Fournette.

Derek Carr only has a cap hit of $5M next season.

If I'm a legit WR in my prime I'm only attaching myself to QBs who can get me to the playoffs and beyond.

Devonte better work on three yard routes if Brady is his QB.

I’m not sure how old he is but he seems destined to be a Colt.

The NFL is simply dominate when it comes to ratings. Expect the NFL to be on your TVs every Christmas.

Quote:
Packers-Dolphins: 25.92 million viewers. (This was the only game of the day between a pair of playoff contenders.)

Broncos-Rams: 22.57 million viewers. (Both teams had been eliminated from the postseason, with the Rams winning 51-14.)

Buccaneers-Cardinals: 17.15 million viewers. (The Cardinals were starting a third-string quarterback in a game between two teams under .500.)

76ers-Knicks: 4.04 million viewers.

Lakers-Mavericks: 4.33 million viewers.

Bucks-Celtics: 6.03 million viewers.

Grizzlies-Warriors: 4.70 million viewers.

Suns-Nuggets: 2.49 million viewers.

That’s an average viewership of 21.88 million for the NFL, and 4.318 million for the NBA. The NFL drew an audience more than five times bigger than the NBA’s.

The rest of the leagues are just boring now. Who wants to watch 80+ games a year in 2022? I'm finally going to purchase the NFL ticket now that it's moving to Google. Heard it will be 300 bucks a season.

The NFL is such a powerhouse they are moving Christmas to Sundays. Sorry, baby Jesus, you just don't have the chops.

NBA is such a niche BS sport. You can say like NHL. Thing is NHL pretends to try to grow in US. NBA wants to sell bullshit 3 point shooting contest to the world instead of the country it started in.

Soccer is the opposite. They say we are a world game and won’t change for US flavors and TV. And they stick to it.

NBA might as well be fixed Globetrotters.
