The answer is seemingly no though, the NFL won’t save America. If a whole MLB team gets knocked out from going to a strip club, 22 guys piling onto to each other every play don’t stand a chance.

I think it's interesting how the NFL seemed to get post-COVID right with the "worst" plan. No bubble. No restrictions on fans from the league. No delayed or shortened season. They also had the toughest task because you can only play one game a week and they have by far the most players along with the highest amount of contact between them.

So yes, our NFL heroes did seem to save American sports.

I think the worst was baseball. They had so many opportunities to do it right but got bogged down in union/management squabbles largely unrelated to Covid.

I don't even consider basketball and hockey because those were both exhibitions or farcical playoffs. The NBA was particularly galling because the entire pantomime was established with a predetermined result.
