Sure, why not.

Kmet had a nice first half on Sunday. Then he disappeared. Money well spent!

He had a 1st down on a button hook late in the game but the QB misread it for some insane reason.

You would be killing $50 million Kmet if he didn't go to Notre Dame.

Kmet has fewer catches, fewer yards, and fewer wins. He's also been around for 54 games. LaPorta has been around for 4. LaPorta may pass Kmet in career TD catches this season.

He doesn't even have as many td as Kmet this year. They are feeding him the ball as he is 4th in the league in targets for a TE.

We've been through the $50 issue. His aav is 10th for te, in line with recent contracts like jonuu smith and hunter henry. It's nothing outrageous. Maybe a touch high, but very much within the market rate.

I don't know where you get this idea that I am a huge ND fan. I don't dislike them but unlike the NFL I don't have a team in the NCAA. Northwestern would be my closest thing to a team. I try to go to one ND game every year because that is the closest/best college football atmosphere.

We have, and you seem to think its fine. Truly, its not. Guys like Kmet are not worth $50milion. Don't @me with his targets because a lot of them are checkdowns. I don't really care if he catches a 7 yard pass on 3rd & 11.

You're a catholic. If Kmet came from a public university you would crucify him and Poles for giving him that much money.

take a look at the te contracts. That is the going rate for a tight end with some production who is not playing on his rookie deal. He's the same aav as Jonuu Smith and Hunter Henry, and Smith wasn't even signed to be the Falcons #1 TE.

we are just relitigating an identical matter from the summer.

Good Catholic Dolphin, I would prefer to pay a Robert Tonyan every year instead of giving Kmet $50M.

I'll be pushing the HOF candidacy of Matt Ryan soon enough.

There are so many more reasons above ND that I'd be inclined to like Kmet: he's a lifelong bear fan from the chicago area. He's from my general region. He's a close friend's family. I wouldn't even be surprised if he has looked at this board at some point in his life.

The guy is a productive player who justified his draft spot, wanted to play here and earned a second contract.

All this can be true and he can still be well overpaid. And he is.

Tonyan is one of the many pass catchers in this league created entirely by Aaron Rodgers.

Remember Nas pimping for Dalton Shultz? He's being paid half of what Kmet is getting and produced 10 catches for 89 yards in an offense that is throwing the ball 38 times a game

That's the beauty of the contract. You can afford both, as the Falcons are doing with Pitts/Smith, Pats are doing with Henry/Gesicki, Bills are doing with Knox/Kincaid, etc.

Kmet has 25% of Fields' completions. That reality is an indictment of Fields. It says nothing about Kmet as a player. Dalton Schultz is a better blocker and receiver than Kmet.

Kmet should be getting paid half of what he is.

We are relitigating because we still do not have agreement. Nas is entirely correct here (IMO). Kmet is just a guy. You are also correct in that he's on his 2nd contract and isn't a complete bust.

I guess I'm ok with signing him the 2nd contract, but it was worth more many than he's demonstrated. He's just not anything special.

When they play SF for the NFC it should be a great game, Goff is significantly better in domes though.

Goff is still their weak point, he's not good on the road or outside most games.

LaPorta looking like the best TE in the league. Gibbs getting more touches and looks like a top 5 back.
I like Cambell but that 2 point conversion 3x against Dallas was dumb AF.. cost them a chance at bye.

Decibel record set at Detroit, Baker ain't ready for this atmosphere. Should be a curb stomping.

Didn’t you have Philly stomping Tampa? I get doubting both Mayfield and Goff but it’s also undeniable that they have both been very good this season.

Thanks to the Philly collapse, the Lions will likely be on of the worst NFC Championship participants in recent memory.
