Burrow having the ball in his hands with a chance to march down the field and get even a mere FG to either win or push the game to OT.

Andy Reid punted to Burrow from Cincy's 37 b/c he knows Burrow's a fraud and wouldn't be able to get it done. You wouldn't have punted to Brady or Manning in that situation.

I think this is missing the point.

Here's a quick breakdown of Burrow's career:

Rookie year: 2-7-1 and sustains a season-ending injury after showing promise
Sophmore year: goes to the Superbowl with no o-line; his best WR is a fellow rookie
Third year: loses a 50-50 AFC Championship game after a fluke penalty

This was his third year and he's already got two championship games under his belt. And this is not like Big Ben making the Superbowl as a rookie or whenever it was, where he's basically an observer watching the rest of the team do the hard work of winning. The Bengals went to two championship games and a SB because of Borrow in his second and third years. There are guys in some cities - I won't say which city - who are excited because their QB is focused on learning how to pass heading into his third year. Meanwhile Burrow just missed his second straight superbowl in his third year. Long story short: Manning-status is definitely still in play for Burrow, you're being way too quick here to write him off and it's distracting you from all of his accomplishments after only 2.5 seasons.

Ah, but Mahomes thanked God, and so was immediately placed on Dan's shit list

He thanked God for healing him. Apparently God is a big fan of painkiller injections, especially on game day.

I have no doubt Fields can be as good as Hurts.

I know he's hurt, but I'm not positive Fields isn't better than Hurts already. They're the same guy. Running quarterbacks with big inaccurate arms.

Jalen Hurts in 2022: 66.5% (11th in NFL), 3,701 yds (10th), 8.0 yds/att (3rd), 22 tds, 6 int., 101.5 QBR (4th)
Justin Fields in 2022: 60.4% (31st in NFL), 2,242 yds (26th), 7.1 yds/att (17th), 17 tds, 11 int., 85.2 QBR (25th)

I know what the numbers say. The Bears don't have a starter on offense that's better than his counterpart on the Eagles. I believe that hides the flaws in Hurts' game.

49ers did bottle Hurts up yesterday, it was a good plan and it worked. If they don't lose Purdy they probably win.

No doubt about it. The Eagles didn't "win" that game. It's a lot closer if the 49ers don't get a million game deciding penalties.

Add in Mahomes:

Third Year: Wins Super Bowl
Fourth Year: Loses Super Bowl
Sixth Year: Back in Super Bowl

And Mahomes sat his first year and entered a more successful/win ready/professional organization than Burrow did. I mean both are great but I think people are missing out on how good Burrow is.

To hear MANY here tell it, that still would not make that much of a difference.

How can it be a "complete tear" and not require TJ?

Parkins is probably right...Purdy will never be a QB1 again but will stay in the league 10-15 years as a backup.

Maybe it tore off the bone rather than just shredded like a pitcher does.
