If you do put down Brady as the GOAT it has to be with an *,as his team has been caught twice cheating. So if they where caught twice you know they have been doing it a lot more than that. Tarnished record, sort of like Pete Roses'.

were

Every team cheats. They are just the most successful, so the microscope is on them.

Putting an asterisk on a record is stupid. Barry Bonds hit the ball over the fence more than anybody else, and Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than anybody else. Deal with it.

Why do you hate successful people?

Even during Jordan's peak, there were some who maintained they would take Arvydas Sabonis (before all the knee injuries) due to size (7' 3").

I'll never remember where I was on the day of Bowling Green massacre.

I think another interesting question should be:

At what point did Tom Brady make it clear that he was better than Peyton Manning?

It took a while for me. I know, for much of the 2000's - up to 2007 or 2008, I had thought that PM was better, but that Brady just had a better coach who knew how to build a defense and execute a run game better, but in the last decade or so, it seems as if they have abandoned the balanced offense in favor of riding Brady's arm and brain. Even in that awesome 2007 season, how much of that could be attributed to the presence of Moss?

I thought he was better before they beat the Seahawks but I don't think anyone could argue Manning was better after that game.

Manning still has the statistical edge and isn't a system quarterback but Brady is clearly better.

Manning had better weapons around him:

Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Brandon Stokely, Edgerrin James, and a fairly good offensive line

Brady had:

Troy Brown, Donte Stallworth, Randy Moss (1 good season), a bunch of short, quick white guys, and a piecemeal offensive line

Brady is better.

You are missing a few guys for Brady. One is in jail though.

Manning made everyone look good. It suddenly happened in Denver too.

,

Denver won that superbowl thanks to Von Miller, not the gimp armed, "done' Peyton Manning.

He could barely throw the ball ten yards.

I'm not talking about the Super Bowl. I'm talking about how Peyton showed up in Denver and suddenly they were filled with offensive weapons too.

None of the guys I'm missing for Brady were the caliber of what Manning had in Indy.

Jesus Christ, when you compare their careers now, Manning can't hold Brady's jock. A fucking mannequin at QB could have won a SB with Denver last year. Compare what a 39 year old Manning did or didn't do, to what Brady did at 39 yesterday. He's not slowing down, hell he's getting better.

Not true, Boyd. Edelman might be better than anyone Manning ever had.

Martellus Bennet is very good. And you conveniently left off Gronk.

Coming from a guy who literally just said that a statue could have won a Super Bowl.

Not even a future hall of fame tight end?

Marvin Harrison became a star the day Manning showed up. Reggie Wayne had one good season without Manning. Clark, Stokley, and James all were mostly insignificant after leaving Indy.

As I said, a bunch of guys in Denver suddenly became stars too.
