The giants very well might lose, but you can hardly call them “pretenders”. Most people thought they’d win 5 or 6 games. They have over-achieved, not pretended. And it may crumble down tomorrow, we’ll see.

Isnt that pretty much the same thing?

Pretending to be a good team when they aren't?

Post subject:  Re: Minnesota Vikings

I don’t think they have been pretending they are anything, I think they are surprising themselves to be here. To me pretenders are teams that talk the talk and can’t walk the walk. I think the giants are just a rebuilding team playing with house money at this point.

Maybe they give Cousins another $150 million extension to see if it will finally work out with him.

5 targets for JJ on the opening drive, 5 targets the rest of the game.

The giants sold out on stopping Jefferson. He wasn’t open, ever, after that first drive. He was over/undered the entire game. They told Minnesota to beat them with Osborn and hockenson and they almost pulled it off. Cousins shredded the giants yesterday. The big play to Jefferson was never available.

They double cover Adams in most games. Jefferson couldn't beat a double or Cousins couldn't throw him a 50/50 ball? It sounds like the opportunity was available on the last play but he chose not to push the ball.

Even if the bracket JJ you have to run some rub routes, put him in motion..something to get him the ball.

I assume a post mortem in Minnesota would start with the defense. How is a team led by an unremarkable QB with no TEs or WRs gonna drop 31 points in your building?

I didn't see this. In truth I would have said I think Minny's cap would be one win. They could either beat the Giants and lose in the next round or lose to the Giants. That's what I would have said.

The Vikings will trade Cousins and end up with the #1 pick. Bears will have to face Caleb Williams twice a year.

Bears fans better hope they suck for a few years, otherwise it will be a while before they don't finish in last place in the NFC North.
