It is short for Dakota. He's actually an 8 year old rich girl.

He was at Miss St, I think he was a Heisman candidate at some point. He will be trash in the NFL, don't worry.

Course Andy Reid knew about him in 2012:

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2016/0 ... -prescott/

Partly Prescott's been insanely great; but also he's getting to take snaps behind the Cowboys starting O-line and throwing to their starting receiving corps, vs vanilla defenses that aren't in regular season mode.

And both Cowboy back-ups had solid games vs the Seahawks:

Dak Prescott 17/23 116 1 TD
Jameill Showers 10/17 113 1 TD

no picks for either.

prolly says more about the strength of the Cowboy's offense in general this year than Prescott or Showers.

This guy knows.

Dak Prescott is a fringe quarterback talent in the NFL. He might be able to play other positions

Yes he will be not be effective long term. He's too prone to take off from the pocket and he is careless.

Future of the NFL might want to learn how a basic handoff works before dreaming bigger.

Handoffs? Woah, slow down, cowboy, first step is to successfully get the snap from the center without fumbling.

Romo is out 6-10 weeks with a broken bone in his back. He really should just retire at this point. The guy is a scratch golfer, he should just play golf every day. He won't be able to walk when he is fifty, if he keeps getting serious injuries every year.

Yeah, he better watch it. 15 years from now, this could be an ugly follow up story.

FTFY.... *ducks* 8)

you know ESPN has a vested interest in promoting the hell out of this dak prescott dude; because once you "buy in" to the story you're more likely to want to tune in to their programming more often for more updates on dak prescott (aka "the ouroboros of ESPNterainment" --- see: the annual Brett Favre "will he? / won't he?" shitshow or "The Terrell Owens Show") AHEM.

TLDR = when you're backing up "football tulo" you'd better be ready, as should we. "There's no doubt that [Dak Prescott] is legit" (-Nas =) because I've never heard of a Cowboys player receiving this much unwarranted hype. Draft him early mis amigos!

I was watching Around the Horn yesterday because I evidently hate myself, and 3 of the 4 people on tried to argue that Prescott deserves the MVP and that Elliott owes more to him than vice versa. If that wasn't mindmelting enough, it was Plaschke of all people who made the pro-Elliott case.

My ex-GF named her daughter Dakota. She's not rich, though.

They are not even close to being the same mold of a QB. RG3 ran, Dak looks to pass 1st and if the run is there, he will. Once RG3's knee went, so did his career.

In college, Dak loved to take off.

So far in the pros he has reined it in.

If he keeps that up, he can be successful long term.

But it's been 9 games.

I think he should probably be converted to a WR just to be safe and the Cowboys should look to draft someone who "looks" more like a QB, such as Chad Kelly.

He might of. What I am seeing in the pros is someone who is fearless, poised and smart. I am sure the MVP/ROY running the ball is helping him tremendously, but he is putting up great numbers. I don't think he is a running QB. Romo did the same thing, before he hurt his back.

any QB could benefit from Dallas's line; but because he benefits from it, Prescott has a great chance to develop into an elite quarterback and stay that way for a long time. he's already doing a good job of reading defenses and stretching the field. he's a better version of cam newton already.

he also hasn't faced much adversity yet. that will come, and that will prove what kind of QB he'll be. it also helps when you have an explosive running back who takes the pressure off.

it pains me to give the cowboys credit but they are a really dangerous team.

I am not going to lie. That line is ridiculous. I think you are right about the comparison of a better Cam.
