A year and a half is no longer a slump. He's not one of the five best QBs in the league. He's probably not even top 10. Motherfucking goddamnit. This sucks

He's no Brian Hoyer.

We'll trade you Cutler for Rodgers - straight up.

I'd probably do it. At least then I'd be in a position to draft a real franchise QB

Too bad Alex Smith didn't fall to them.

I'm entering virgin territory as a football fan. Is rooting for a shitty QB really as bad as you guys make it sound? Sure seems like it

I'm actually a BIGFAN of Rodgers, but he hasn't been the same since he played Minny. I'm sure he'll still roast the Bears.

How many QBs have a better arm than him right now?

This is why I said he had to keep it up to be better than Manning and Brady.

Pretty awful Favre is rooting for Dallas.

Maybe the fact the Cowboys are gelling with Prescott and Elliot is the bigger story.

He's been dating Olivia Munn for about as long as he's been slumping right? Maybe the pussy is too good.

It's been a Jim Everett like decline. Has to be mental. For the record his receivers haven't helped much during this span (either getting open or holding onto the ball) but Rodgers is missing wide open targets on a pretty regular basis.

I've thought about making this thread for a year now. It was finally time. Didn't want to prematurely give up on my guy, but he's finished.

Any time you want to start the McCarthy Sucks thread would also be way late.

As a Bears fan, I guess this is what it looks like giving up on a great QB.

Probably not. Bears did pretty well today against a comparable QB

Fair. But nope. This team is gonna go 10-6 with no more Super Bowls until you and I are 40 :(

31 TD
8 picks
Last year

He will surpass that this year, still a top 3 QB.

statistically, aaron rodgers prolly peaked a year or two after his !!!SURPRISE!!!/ish super bowl win. IIRC he's been on a slight lil decline for like 3-4 years, and i remember during a game @ seattle last year fox showed a stat where aaron rodgers was like 12/32 aka 37% in terms of 4th quarter comebacks (where he was losing games with like ~6mins left in the 4th, or maybe it was the whole 4th quarter?) --- regardless of the details, the general point was that aaron rodgers TECHNICALLY has never been an especially clutch quarterback. if he's not frontrunning heading into the 4th quarter there's a ~60%+ chance that he's going to lose the game.

honestly, i remember after the packers' annual early/ish playoff exit last year buttblasted cheeseheads called up packers postgame shows bitching about the o-line and the personnel people, saying that they don't have a clue of what they're doing and it's not like aaron rodgers is behind the cowboys o-line or anything (ask "dak-n-dunk" prescott what that's like =) -- PLUS you remember their great lineage of WRs from donald driver to greg jennings to jordy nelson.... well who's next? randall cobb is obviously the next guy who comes to mind, but after a !!!!!/nice 2012 season (where he was technically a #3 behind jennings/jordy) i wanna say he's had another quality year or maybe two, but time has exposed randall cobb as "so not a proper #1 WR" (see: jeffery, alshon) and more of a nice #2 or excellent #3 WR, and it's not like the packers have really replaced that "X" driver/jennings type receiver assuming that jordy's your Y and cobb is your Z.

couple that with the packers defense perennially being some kind of "meh" to "pretty good" aka "not a real difference maker" and you have the formula for a perennial pretty good team that can make hey in a perennially "meh" division and do some bumslaying en route to the playoffs, where they run into a quality team that can play some football and then the packers' overall "aging/MEH" team is exposed for what it is, and then that's when you realize that aaron rodgers was never jimi hendrix or someone who could shred on the guitar.... he was more of a conductor of a proper orchestra that has suffered from having aging/lesser players in the orchestra and therefore the end product isn't as good as it was back in the day, and the conductor can only do so much, you know what i'm saying?!

TLDR = aaron rodgers doesn't have a lot of help on a team that he's probably made look much much better than it actually is every year since the supebowl [especially that 15-1 season], however i'd say that when things are going right he's still a no-doubt top-5 QB and rah rah rah blah blah blah, but at the end of the day you realize he never was an all-time great QB who could singlehandedly take a "meh" team all the way to the promised land year-in/year-out, even tho he technically managed it once. if he was quarterbacking a loaded offense he'd have even more !!!! #s; however idk if he'd be that much better than brady if he was QBing the patriots tbh.
