Aside from straight up running the ball between the tackles everything they are running in the NFL is about misdirection and testing the defenses ability to maintain basic fundamentals taught at the high school level (outside shoulder, keep the play in front of you). With the athleticism on the edges now the only way to stop those defensive ends, aside from just egregious holding (Packers.........), is to allow them to overpenetrate. There's a reason there hasn't been any real evolution in defensive scheming in the last 20 years, these zone coverages are basically perfect when executed properly by defenders.
