In May 1986 Bob Seger released the single "Like a Rock" in which he sang "Like a rock, I was strong as I could be
Like a rock, nothin' ever got to me"; but something must have gotten to former NFL player De'Von Hall as he stands accused of stomping his own personal rock, his mother, to death in her Los Angeles area home.

In 1994, the musical Stomp became a smash hit in New York City, with performers using everyday objects and their own bodies to create a performance that united rhythm, acrobatics, and pantomime. However, on April 24th, former football professional De'Von Hall had his own smash, hit, and stomp of his mother Alecia, who later died from her injuries.

In 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald completed his great American novel The Great Gatsby, famously ending it with “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” Sadly, this past April 24th, De'Von Hall beat on his mother and killed her. We can only hope he is borne back ceaselessly into a jail cell.

Nice shot across the bow from the LA Times. So he was an unsuccessful NFL player, it's not like he stomped his own mother to dea.....wait.
