I'd really like to see a control group with CTE stats. Slice up every brain that dies in a car accident and see what % of people show signs with/without football. I have yet to see a study with more than a few hundred people.

That wouldn't give you the answers you're looking for.

Define Youth Hockey.
Checking starts at Bantam which is age 12-14. Did not see much in terms of head injuries, but U16 and High School Hockey....I've seen more concussions than I've cared to see.

difference is HS Hockey for the most part is not subsidized.

Right WD. Part of my reasoning for mentioning hockey was kids hitting their head on the ice. Checks and tackles for that matter are not the only way to get concussed.

Concussions aren't the big problem though. It's the constant and repeated hits to the head.

Have high school be 7 on 7 until their senior year.

Sounds good. Now I will start a private enterprise where we play traditional football, I have you sign some waiver that you know about the risks of CTE and have parents and child sign it, and then my kids get recruited for full rides at colleges while the high schools are ignored.

I think it's fairly obvious now that football is bad for your brain. As long as the players fully understand that then let's play some football!

Football isn't bad for your brain. Hitting your head is bad for your brain.

Ah, the assault rifles are fine it's the people using them are bad argument... Interesting take. Are you proposing flag football?

Better you carry the insurance bill than the school district.

I bet you would have a different opinion if Purdue had a football program.

I could see high school football fading in the Chicago burbs if schools like Barrington, New Trier, and Stevenson decide juvenile head trauma isn't something they want associated with their sterling reputations. I mean, what sort of Friday Night Lights cowtown bullshit can there be in Buffalo Grove, anyway.

Quote:
New York Jets rookie defensive back Jamal Adams called the football field a "perfect place to die" after being asked about chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) during a fan event Monday.

I see alot of people are wringing hands today over this quote by Adams. Who gives a shit? The repeated attempts by SJWs and their ilk to infantilize NFL players is pretty awful.

The truth is, that is the attitude I want from my players.
