That’s a horrible thought. Score the TD and stop them on D. Otherwise you deserve to lose. If he falls down short of the goal line and then they fail to score for whatever reason (penalty, bad snap, defensive play etc) this would be forever ridiculed. Play to win...not to not lose.

That's really not a bad thought at all. Do I think I have a better chance to win with my O on the field versus their D or their O vs my D. Yes, I may lose, but they lost anyway going with it in your format, so I really don't think it would have been as bad an option for Dak to slide to a stop at the two yard line and chew up some time. I understand this is new thinking in football strategy, but you should consider it in an era where things are so geared towards the offense.

Actually it’s not new thinking at all. Bad thinking. Meatball thinking...yes. I understand but that doesn’t make it correct.

OK, but I am playing to win, and in your version you are playing not to lose, so I don't get why you find that so different. I will put my NFL head coaching record up against yours any day of the week.

I absolutely disagree with the first thought but concede the 2nd.

I'm still not sold on the Chiefs wide receivers(outside of Hill).

Love the Chiefs and with the Bears being brutal this year, I am really pulling for them to have a great year. But I do not trust them at all. As they get into the last part of the season and the playoffs they always seem to fold.

it's been part of andy reid's resume since the eagles. the closer he gets his team to a championship, the tighter he gets. that's hard to pull off for a lardass.

I have a really bad feeling that the New York Football Giants might miss the playoffs this season.

It surprised me that in the wake of the Brady stuff, that the union would think it could win in court. It seems pretty clear that the league has broad powers that were collectively bargained. Plus everything I read is this particular investigation was done with a lot of outside experts.

Jon Gruden just said you can find a guy off the street to play point guard in the NBA or hit 3rd in a lineup in baseball

I like how the Cardinals pulled Carson Palmer for Drew Stanton so Stanton could match Palmer's INT total for the game.

Jay Cutler has been knocked out of the game. He is listed as Apathetic and unlikely to care if he returns.
