I'm headed to Vegas in a couple days to place NFC/AFC champion bets. Hopefully I hit on a team and use the winnings to gamble when I go back for Super Bowl weekend. Most of my money is going towards NFC teams because the Patriots are too damn good and there's no way Atlanta returns to the SB.

I may place a few dark horse Super Bowl champ picks. I'm big on Cam and Carolina. They lost 7 games last season by 3 points or less.

Is that Super Bowl 101?

Looking at that, I'd agree about Carolina being a great value pick.

I think there's a good chance the Seahawks return also.

Fixed. The NFL should've ditched the Roman numerals for good after 50.

I'd go a modest bet on Dallas or, for a long shot, Arizona.

It is starting to get difficult.

Tampa n Green Bay, nice odds and both are going to be in the playoffs. I don't see anybody in afc beating N. E.

I think these are some decent longshots:

San Diego 66/1
Baltimore 50/1
Philadelphia 40/1
Tampa 33/1

New England seems to be the class of the league. You can bet AFC -1.5 over the NFC for the SuperBowl. If New England is in the SB, they will be favored by more than that.

Good luck with your wagers.

I'm just shocked that they cut Austin Carr. But their loss is my Saints gain.

The Lions are going to go 5-11, but since they'll go 1-1 against the 12-3 Packers they'll still win the division.

The Packers are so good, they wont even need to play all 16 games either.

But if the Packers go 3-3 in the Division, they won't win the division!

They could if some of the losses happened before they fire their head coach. Only games by your current head coach count in the division standings.

Good call. I really never like to put money out there to have to wait so long for a payoff.
