No injury issues with Trubiski. Looks like Pace got this one right. |

Huge blow for the league. The most exciting rookie in recent memory has to be replaced by Tom Savage. |

https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status ... 0073287680 Quote: Deshaun Watson went down on a normal drill, running a read option, on a grass field, per source. Didn’t yell, trainers took him off field. Most likely has a degenerative knee, and that is why Ryan Pace passed. Guy is a draft genius, he needs his due credit. Looks like Mitch will be the stud QB from this class. |

Pretty easy to see coming. Still a shame. Watson = RGIV. |

My brother is in my fantasy football league. His team has Elliott and Watson. Trade offers are flying. |

He's not a running QB, but he's a QB who runs. For a lot of guys that's enough. But the non contact knee injury from Clemson is a pretty bad sign too. Knees do not get better with age. |

Have you watched him play? Like was said he runs but is not some option run first guy. He leads the NFL in QB rush yards. http://pickingpros.com/nfl/quarterback- ... eaders.php |

So he was an injured QB yet everyone bashes Pace for not drafting him? That has been one of the Bear fans biggest complaint over the last few years is the drafting of guys who were injured in college. |

I could be wrong but I don't believe anyone mentioned injury prone when listing his weaknesses. |

I have had arguments around here at draft time with people criticizing the Bears GM for drafting someone that had an injury in college. |

I could be wrong but I don't believe anyone mentioned injury prone when listing his weaknesses. There was mention of his ACL tear as a Freshman. But I don't think it was a true negative for anybody. It was just one of those last "negatives" in most scouting reports that you would read. |

Post subject: | Re: Deshaun Watson |
Well those are the scouting reports we have as the public. Its easy to put "suffered major non contact knee injury as a teenager" at the bottom of a scouting list for us. Our jobs dont depend on that pick, we aren't paying the guy even if he rides the pine 50% of the time because he's hurt. When we, the public, reads a scouting report we read it looking for different things than an NFL front office. It is entirely possible, maybe even probable, that after the Kevin White fiasco Ryan Pace has put a huge emphasis on drafting players with low injury risks. Especially first rounders. Watson now has two huge strikes against him, he's a running QB with two major non contact injuries to the same knee. Even yesterday when it was only one major injury to that knee it is still easy to see how he could've been hurt. I called it happening. Now Watson has to come back and be the same player. Brady, Palmer and McNabb all did, so its not like its impossible for Watson. |

The Pats made the Garapalo move a week too soon. They could have squeezed more juice out of that deal |
