Pats won. That's always true. I can't think of a terrible deal they've made.

Actually lost on this one. He was a 2nd round pick. Had him for 4 years, got nothing out of him on the field, and now got another pick for him. So, basically, they deferred their 2nd round pick for 4 years. Could have used it on someone who could actually help them on the field.

They essentially got a late first round pick for a guy they're not going to keep.

My point still stands. Had they drafted a good WR or a good DL instead, they may have won multiple SBs. Instead they drafted him, never used him, and got the same pick back 4 years later. Meanwhile, Brady is 4 years older.

Not having to use your backup qb is a good thing, somebody is going to give him 5 years 90 million. They were going to let him walk in 2 months.

That’s great! Point still remains the same. They spent a 2nd Round pick on nothing.

I get what you're saying but he was an insurance policy.

I disagree with BC. He's been a good backup and played well when called upon. That has value and has been worth the pick the last four years, especially if you're recouping the same pick after those four years.

Niners giving up a 2nd for an 7 week rental, somebody is going to give JG a fat contract after that.

They'll franchise tag him in that case. My guess is they have been negotiating with him all day and no what it will take to sign him.

I'd have to add its very rare to trade for the same round of pick you drafted the guy in 4 years later.

Yup. That's what my guy says too.

25 million for one year on a 3 or 4 win team in 2018? Seems real dumb.

You may be right, but Pitt is the only team he should go to if Big Ben retires. I think AZ is trending down, and the Jets are maybe a little bit ahead of the 49ers. Vikings will prolly still hold on to Bradford, and hope Dalvin comes back strong to take pressure off the QB.

If he's decent they'll be close to .500 next year probably. Good QB play makes a big difference and they've been competitive in most of their games this season.
