Also what stops Indy from selling their pick? You don't think the Bills, Jets, Cardinals, Broncos, Chargers etc. wouldn't take an immediate interest in getting the QB they want at #3?

New York can't take that risk. I don't think there's any way they trade down.

3-13 best case scenario.
They'll still be terrible.

So many possibilities , I would like to see em go Chubb - Barkley.

I think New York is gonna take Barkley, although they should take a QB.

I have come to the understanding that their best move is to take Barkely at #1, as he won't be there at 4. That still leaves them at no worse than one of three top QB at 4 and probably even the top 2.

I always wondered why this wasn't the case. If the Browns were wise they would take Barkley/Chubb #1 to secure the cream of the crop, let a couple other bottom-feeders fight over some QBs, and take either Barkley/Chubb at 4, securing the best two players in the draft, or taking whatever QB is left - probably Rosen or Mayfield - either of which could arguably be the best QB of this draft class.

Unless you have a franchise QB, I think it is foolish to select a RB before you take one. If I were the Browns, I would take a hard look at Chubb at #1 to book end him with their #1 pick last year, and look at a QB at #4.

PR wise they HAVE to go QB at 1. Otherwise the Wentz/(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky grumbling won't die before their QB actually plays at a high level. But I also heard that they're going QB @1 then Chubb at 4.

It's funnier that they're reporting that Jackson is being completely kept out of the loop.

I think NY is the wild card. If Chubb is #1, I think they go RB. If QB is #1, I think they go Chubb. They did trade JPP.

What NY does at 2 defines the rest of the top 15 picks for sure. Completely unpredictable because of them at the moment.

100%

IF I were NY, I would take a QB to sit behind Eli for a year. Everything seems to be suggesting that as well. But is the QB>Chubb or Barkley?

@WillBrinson

According to @mortreport on ESPN just now, John Dorsey’s known who he was going to take for “about six weeks.”

Dorsey told Haslams “about a month ago.”

“Finally told his head coach Hue Jackson two days ago.”

@mortreport

Just to clarify and correct, while Browns GM John Dorsey has known who he would pick about 6 weeks ago, he still wanted an all-inclusive process for organizational unity. He didn't formally reveal it with owners Jimmy & Dee Haslam until this week, per team sources.

Imo you take Barkley 1 and hopefully trade down a few slots to 7 or 8 and get Nelson or Fitzpatrick and pick up more picks..if no takers u grab Chub at 4.

Seems like it but who knows? I like Baker’s swagger. Hopefully he works out. We’ve all had our fill of Browns schadenfreude.

I like Tyrod, you can win a Sb with him at the helm.. He's better than Mayfield. Blew that #1 pick imo

How you don't end up with Barkley and or Chubb I have no idea. Seemed liked a no brainer to draft Barkley and then whatever QB is left at 4 you take. If you don't get the QB, you take Chubb. An undersized CB at 4? Stupid.

I think it would be kind to say that the Browns did not maximize the value of their picks.

I'm no draft or football expert, but you cannot have those two picks and leave Chubb to go to another team. You just cannot do that.

They could have had the two best players in the draft. It set up perfectly for the Browns and they blew it.

They should be called the Charlie Browns.

They drafted Manzel 2.0 with the 1st over pick....ok.... But that 2nd pick had Chubb written all over it, and you fucked it up... My lord
