Leaving the Bengals after 15 years seeking other opportunities....Da Bears? The Clearing Brewers?

Wants to explore front office opportunities. Given how inept the second and third generations of the Brown family has been, maybe there's something to that. He looks to have been able to find the talent, but couldn't long term coach it up.

He's lucky to have lasted this long. He hasn't won a playoff game ever right? Seems his teams also have discipline and off the field problems.

Losing to the Bears was the final humiliation.

Oh no doubt that he owns every bit of that. But at the same time, that organization hasn't been relevant since Boomer Esiason was in his prime. And it's ownership family has been the major consistent flaw in the opinion of most.

Normally I would say never winning a playoff games kinda defines you, but after watching hard knocks a few moons ago, that organization is horribly ran.

The real question is "what took so long"?

The guy was an apologist for the most notable felons in the league. His teams played dirty without any apparent rebuke. The always appeared to be an undisciplined group. Most importantly, they ranged from mediocre to bad when the season counted but always pulled his ass off the hot seat with garbage time wins.

They want to be the Steelers so bad that they are keeping a coach forever just because that's what Pittsburgh does.... the difference being that their coaches win.

The Bengals are owned by Mike Brown. You don't have to come up with elaborate theories for why they'd continue to bring back Lewis when that fact alone is sufficient to explain it.

What the fuck??

I guess Mike Brown heard from various agents that nobody else wants to work for him.

“He said some of those losses came down to just one play”

Come on Bernsie, if it wasn’t for that 70-yard busted coverage TD, we were right in that game!

None of what he said made any sense.
