Falcons now with the cleanest path to the SB of any of the remaining teams. Who woulda thunkit?

Odd take.

The Vikings/Saints is the defacto NFC Championship game.

Not sure the Falcons even get past the Eagles.

I agree on the Vikings/Saints thought

The Vikings and Saints have to play each other so obviously neither of their paths are easier.

Patriots have the easiest path. The Saints or the Vikings would be tougher than an injured Steelers team or a Jaguars team that's a year or 2 early.

I would not want any part of the Steelers, even when injured. They have more than enough offensive firepower to keep up, even without Brown. I think they beat the Pats with Brown.

Brown is back.

when the patriots are in the cozy confines of gillette stadium in a title game, no team stands a chance.

Right but whoever wins that game is going to beat the Falcons. Going through either team necessarily means the falcons don’t have an easier path.

The Saints or the Vikings would have an easier time against the Falcons than the Falcons will have against the Eagles.

If Cam plays like Cam, I see the Panthers hosting the NFC championship against Atlanta.

:salut: :salut:

I'm sick of seeing Cam play with a bunch of bums every year.

And I shouldn't post, especially when I'm drinking. I was so busy saluting your Atlanta and Tennessee calls that I missed that you also called Carolina.

Right, so next week, whoever wins has the easiest path. This week they are both in serious jeopardy of losing while the Falcons are a road favorite with a colorable chance to win next week.

Post subject:  Re: Playoff Predictions

I'm not following the logic you're attempting here.

Atlanta is a 3 point road favorite.

Minnesota is a 4.5 home favorite.

Minnesota is going to be favored, probably by at least 6, if these two teams meet next week.

Minnesota is more likely to win this week AND next week than the Falcons are.

Minnesota has an easier path to a SB appearance.

You really think the Vikes are a 6+ point favorite against the Falcons? Unless the Vikings just look awful, if they win I think its a similar line next week regardless of who they play.

Minnesota being home has the easier path, but it really would not surprise me to see Atlanta back in the Super Bowl.

the falcons play better on the road than the saints do, and the falcons lost to the vikings at home. it depends on how they survive the eagles game, if they win (which they should be able to do).

Of course. The Saints have shown all year they are better than the Falcons, and the Vikings are 4.5 favorites over them. Stands to reason they would add a point or 2 for a worse team.

Falcons playing 4th road game in 3rd different time zone in the last 4 calendar weeks...outdoors. Only home game makes it 5 games in 4 weeks, a 22-10 win against a disinterested Cam Newton on NYE. Eagles have had time to adjust their offense for Foles somewhat. Foles probably isn't as bad as his last outing. But he's not Wentz. Under and the Eagles?

Especially since they got the great DeFilippo.

atlanta has a pretty disruptive defense. it won't be a pretty game. i think the falcons still eek out a victory, but they have to be pretty road weary afterwards. eagles play physical.

I think the Vikes get it done today, Keenum is a tough dude who stands in the pocket and looks downfield. He's not afraid to get hit hard. The Saints play a lot of man coverage. I think this game will be close and Vikes win 20-17.

Jag and Saints. The Vikings are extremely overrated and benefitted from an easy/lucky schedule.
