I feel bad for Carolina because they're clearly better than the trash teams that played in all the other games this round.

Agreed. Also right now will go down as a much better QB than Aaron Rodgers as well. Gets it done in the postseason.

All of them.

And while I'm not sure about Eli, Cooper had a narrowing of the spine iirc

i never felt comfortable in this game, and the first 2 series made me think this team doesn't have a chance to make a run. you have to find a way to pound ingram early, and find kamara some space to work with. the playcalling early on was atrocious.

the defense held up but i really hate the "bend don't break" mentality they have. it seemed like every time the panthers had the ball, it wound up deep in saints territory within 2-3 plays.

their worst problem was their consistency with penalties.

the end of the game was more a heart check than a celebration for me.

Did he ever say why he went for it on 4th down, wasn't listening to post game there, should have had Drew try a punt instead there.

"(Payton) said, 'Do you want to go for it or punt?' I said, 'You got a play you like?' He said, 'Yeah.' I said, 'Let's go for it.' End of discussion."

I like the call. Didn’t work out. It happens.

i liked the call, but the play was busted almost immediately. i think a play action would've worked a lot better. they seemed to think ingram wouldn't be considered a threat at all to the panthers' defense.

It actually kind of did work out. The Panthers cost themselves 16 yards of field position by intercepting the pass instead of batting it to the ground. Maybe a punt pins them back deep, but if the punt ended up in a touchback, it would only have been 10 yards further back than where the interception happened.

Of course, the Saints won the game so all of this is moot, but it makes for good talking points here.

according to more than a viewers (impartial, i'm sure), that wasn't a real "catch" and therefore a bad call by the officials. it was a miss-hit that worked out for the saints, regardless.
