Not really a surprise that a son may follow in his father's footsteps in a career. Shawn has been an NFL official since 2014 and was a Pac-12 official before that.

That douche is the NFL equivalent of an MLB umpire who makes wildly exaggerated calls/gestures as if anyone is tuning in to see them. Actually, he might be worse.

Not quite sure how a whole three seasons as a Back Judge in the NFL clearly shows he's ready to be the lead official in an NFL game. Maybe he's destined to be the best official ever, but if his name was Shawn Jerkington nobody would look at him twice, let alone promote him this (imo) quickly.

This really doesn't bother me so long as he and his crew get the calls correct. Over the last few seasons, Hochuli's crew was one of the best.

Triplette was fucking terrible and should have been shitcanned years ago.

There was a bit of a "look at me" aspect to some his calls which I suppose can be annoying to some, but again being correct is above everything else he might do or say.

Very much so, yes. He was a rambling, preening, yam bag full of monkey clits who made his share of terrible calls, too.

Virtually every time you are able to identify a pro referee in any sport, sports loses imo.

Hochuli was an ass bag as a lawyer too. I used to do contracted PI work for his law firm conducting surveillance on plaintiffs.
