Between this, Bell, the O-Line's comments about Bell, and the 0-1-1 record, Tomlin needs to get his house in order.

Antonio Brown is criminally underpaid, 7.9 million. Yeesh.

I do admire him for not putting up the shit fit that Bell did. Defense is getting old, just not Steelers of yester-year.

They miss Shazier badly. Jon Bostic doesn't quite get the job done, surprisingly enough.

It’s why Bell has zero leverage . They ain’t losing because he ain’t there . They’re losing because their defense sucks .

Conner's a nice story and seems like a solid player, but they are definitely a worse team without Bell and have missed his impact in the first two games, especially yesterday. If you have to win shootouts you want Bell on your team.

James Conner has filled in and done just fine. Bell is just like Forte a few years ago, just because you catch 60-70 passes a year as a runnign back, it doesn't make you special nor entitled to more $$$. It's a symptom of a shitty problem on offense, that's all.

I don't think it's about leverage. It's about avoiding Bell getting 400 carries this year going into free agency which often hurts your production the year after.

Bell is better in every facet than Forte and he has 160 catches over his last 27 regular season games. Not exactly 60-70 catches a year.

Amazing how teams run by 2nd/3rd generation family owners are all running into this problem.

It's hell when all those shiftless mouths have to be fed.

Well when it comes right down to it the Rooneys are all family with their team, until they aren't. Especially the third generation living off of the collection of a depression era gambling(iirc) debt from 80 years ago.

This is just the natural end that comes for every team who had a run like the Steelers did. Eventually the pressure to keep guys paid despite their age and imminent production fall-off snowballs into untenable situations that start breaking up the locker room. AB isn't a spring chicken anymore, and while he's definitely still got it there will come a day when he doesn't. That day could be really soon.

I wonder if they'll blow it up and actually trade Bell and AB. I guess it depends a lot on what they think of Rudolph.

Well when you paid nothing for your ownership interest, little for the horrific stadium AND get gifted a $240MM check each year, plus all the local endorsement/media largesse, I would hope so.

Which shows just how big of an idiot Mark Davis is.

The Saints will be in the same boat in three years (I predict)

Ironic too that the decision to pay or not pay bills down to a relic of a past era who has been accused of rape on MANY occasions.

And I'm sure it's just a coincidence that he has the stature to demand such things. But the hypocrites lap it up.

What the fuck man. These mults don't respond to the poster they're trying to impersonate, dumbass.

Delete this mult. He burned his chance.

Quad City Pete should be the Boilerplate template of how a 'mult' should operate.

I dont think Steelers ownership has as much do with this as the salary cap and injuries taking an inevitable toll on the defense while all their best offensive players got old and expensive all at once.

Bell is 26 years old. He won't be football old until he signs the contract that comes after next summer's contract.

They are spending a fortune on that offensive line.

It's gonna be glorious when he's catching TD bombs from Rodgers in a few weeks.

Well then they should stop publicly complaining that Bell is making more money than them.

Yea its obvious the team is falling apart. There is an argument to made for selling everyone except for JuJu and Connors and starting fresh.

I have to think that Dallas will be coming for him or Larry Fitzgerald soon.
